Authorities in central Minnesota are reporting a weekend rescue that may have saved a young girl from drowning.
Baxter Police tell BringMeTheNews they believe the child had been swimming in Whipple Lake near Baxter when she was noticed floating in the water.
She was subsequently pulled out and was breathing when emergency responders arrived and transported her to the hospital.
The Brainerd Dispatch credits a "stranger" with the rescue, though police had no information as to his or her identity.
The paper also says the girl is believed to have been on vacation visiting "extended family" in Brainerd.
Police did not have any information on her current condition, or whether she's still in the hospital.
We'll have more on this story as it develops.
