A driver left behind a trail of destruction in Wisconsin as he rammed police squad cars, nearly killed two civilians, and rolled his pickup truck – before walking away completely naked.

Police in Waukesha say it all began Tuesday evening when a Ford Ranger came plowing through a chain-link fence and rammed into two police cruisers parked nearby, before speeding off.

According to a Facebook post from the department, the officers quickly sprung into action and gave chase.

A pursuit began, but the suspect eventually lost control of his truck, and, "showing utter disregard for the safety of the officers and the community," rammed one of the police cars again and sped away a second time.

His flight would not last long. Police say he lost control yet again and smashed into a "fixed barrier," rolling his pickup. During the chase, police say the suspect narrowly missed crashing head-on into a civilian vehicle.

When the police arrived at the scene of the crash, what they saw was a badly mangled truck – and a naked man walking away from it.

You can watch a video of the crash, subsequent chase, and the suspect's arrest below (Warning: it contains some strong language and briefly shows the naked driver from a distance).

Suspect may have took LSD before spree

The man was arrested after officers deployed "less lethal ammunition," and at last report was in a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

What caused the unidentified suspect to engage in such behavior is for now unclear, but according to the Waukesha PD, it is believed he took LSD and was in a domestic dispute before the incident.

"We feel very fortunate that no officers were injured in this incident. We also believe two Carroll College employees were incredibly lucky to escape with their lives as the truck was less than 5 seconds from a head-on collision with them," the department said.

There are no details yet on criminal charges.
