Four NDSU students from Twin Cities killed in crash near Alexandria

Four young women from the metro area were killed on I-94 while driving in heavy snowfall near Alexandria on Monday. The State Patrol identified them as Lauren Peterson, 18, of Prior Lake, Jordan Playle, 19, of Elk River, Megan Sample, 18, of Rogers and Danielle Renninger, 18, of Excelsior. The four freshman were reportedly traveling from the Twin Cities back to school.
