Neiman Marcus to close Mpls. shop Saturday

The Neiman Marcus store in downtown Minneapolis will shut its doors a few days sooner than originally slated, the Pioneer Press reports. The Dallas-based upscale department store will close its Nicollet Mall location on Saturday, Jan. 26. Remaining items are discounted up to 70 percent.

Last summer, Neiman Marcus announced it would be closing its only Minnesota store inside the Gaviidae Common after more than 21 years.

Macy's is also closing its landmark store in St. Paul this spring. Bloomingdale's left the Mall of America last year.
