Investigators have released details on the "item of interest" found in relation to the Kira Trevino case.

According to the amended criminal complaint filed in Ramsey Count District Court, a plastic bag containing "a bloody pillow, pillow case, sports bra, shirt and sponge" was found in the Keller Lake area. A DNA analysis shows the blood is Kira's.

Family members in town for a court hearing organized the search of Keller Regional Park over the weekend. A witness that was part of that search found the new evidence.

Authorities, Ramsey County divers and cadaver dogs spent several hours scouring Keller Lake Tuesday afternoon, but Kira's body remains missing.

The amended court document includes an earlier report by a witness who claimed two men were spotted walking on the lake the night of Kira's disappearance, struggling to carry an item "the size of a person but wrapped in something."

Kira Trevino, 30, is presumed dead by authorities after blood was found in her car and at the Trevino’s home. Her husband, 39-year-old Jeffery Trevino, faces charges of second-degree murder.

Volunteers plan to resume the search for Kira this weekend.
