Minneapolis club reveals new name, new vibe

After three months of renovations, The Brick in Minneapolis is ready for a fresh start with its new name -- Mill City Nights. A taller stage and 20 HD video monitors are also among a series of upgrades to the downtown Minneapolis venue, The Star Tribune reports. The renovations were made after numerous complaints from fans after the club's inaugural show in March. The club apologized and offered refunds. Upcoming shows include rockers Theory of a Deadman, country upstart Easton Corbin and comic Jim Breuer.

Fitger's to open brewpub in Minneapolis

The popular Duluth-based brewhouse is making plans to open a second location later this year. The Star Tribune reports the owners of the Fitger's Brewhouse have purchased a historic North Loop building in downtown Minneapolis.
