Chart Industries Inc., broke ground this week on a $23 million expansion of its facility to make way for 80 new jobs to New Prague, ECM Publishing's Hometown Source reports. The Ohio-based company aims to expand production of cryogenic equipment used for transporting and storing natural gas as a refrigerated liquid.

Chart makes vacuum-insulated vessels with up to a 90,000-gallon capacity for the storage and distribution of liquefied gases. The company's currently has 275,000 square feet on 30 acres.

Minn. employers add 5,900 jobs, unemployment rate ticks down to 5.8%

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says the state's jobless rate fell a tenth of a percent to 5.8 percent last month after employers add 5,900 jobs, the Star Tribune reports.
