New stores coming soon to Mall of America

A handful of clothing and shoe stores geared towards teen girls and young women will open up shop at the Mall of America in the next month or so.

The Star Tribune reports Ugg Australia, Free People, A’Gaci, Pink from Victoria's Secret, Live Love Dream by Aeropostale and Flip Flop Shops are all new retailers to Minnesota, however some product lines can be found in other parts of the Megamall.

A men's clothing store, Hammer Made, will open on a temporary basis through January. The mall also announced the addition of Benihana Japanese restaurant.

Several more new retailer announcements are expected as construction continues on the mall's $2.5 billion multi-phase expansion project now in Phase 2. The $250 million addition will add 50 new shops, an atrium, exhibition space, an upscale Food Hall and a 330-room luxury hotel.

Just south of the river, a 400,000-square-foot outlet mall under construction in Eagan is expected to open next August.
