The new HLN seriesHow it Really Happened will take on the death of beloved icon Prince.

The episode, called "Prince: The End," is set to air Friday at 8 p.m., and will be on HLN On Demand the next day. Here's the episode summary via a news release:

"What led to the sudden death of one of music’s most talented and most private superstars? Tragically, Prince was found dead and alone in the elevator of his home just days after his last live performance. This episode pulls back the curtain to expose the secret struggles the music genius faced and traces the early years of his life up to his final days."

How it Really Happened, the release says, "revisits and reveals new answers to the biggest crimes, mysteries, trials, and celebrity tragedies of our time. The series is hosted by Hill Harper (an actor from CSI:NY).

The Prince-specific episode includes interviews with CNN contributor Van Jones (who was a friend of the late singer), Rolling Stone contributing editor Joe Levy, and other personalities.

The Current's Andrea Swensson got an advance screening to review, and said it doesn't answer many questions, nor does it offer up much new information.
