The Como Zoo's newest addition will be introduced to the public on Sunday.
The Pioneer Press says the female baby born Sept. 1 rounds out the herd of four living at the zoo in St. Paul. She joins mom, "Clover," dad, "Skeeter," and "Daisy."
The newborn, who has not been named yet, stood 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 130 pounds at birth. The calf is the fifth born to Clover and the 17th born at the zoo in the last two decades.
A giraffe's height typically doubles within the first two years of life, according to the zoo, and can grow as tall as 18 feet as an adult.
A temporary exhibit this summer at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley also featured giraffes for the first time since 2006.
