Nicholas David to reunite with 'Voice' competitors for Mpls. gigs

Eagan native Nicholas David is playing First Avenue next weekend with a little help from his friends from NBC's "The Voice," the Star Tribune reports.

David, who finished third in last season's reality singing competition, will be joined by Terry McDermott, who finished second, and Trevin Hunte, who took fourth. Earlier cast-offs in the competition -- Melanie Martinez and Todd Kessler -- will be part of the gigs, too.

Cassadee Pope, who won last season's competition, is not part of the lineup.

The first show on Friday night is sold out, but tickets are still available for the second.

The show will also feature some of David's fellow local artists, including Desdamona and Alex Rossifor both gigs, and Heatbox on Friday and Teague Alexy on Saturday.
