NoDak drillers produce record 20.8M barrels

North Dakota's oil patch pumped roughly 674,000 barrels per day in July to hit a record total of 20.8 million barrels for the month, the Associated Press reports. That's 7.5 million barrels higher than the same month a year ago.

The state's unemployment rate fell half a percentage point in October, despite employers shedding jobs. “Minnesota’s unemployment rate is at its lowest level since the U.S. financial crisis in November 2008,” said DEED Commissioner Mark Phillips in a news release.

Ecolab's net income, sales surge in third quarter

Ecolab Inc., the St. Paul-based cleaning and pest-control giant, says its net sales jumped 74 percent to $3 billion in the third quarter, RTTNews.com reports. Net income was also up 54 percent compared to the same period a year earlier.
