NWS ups snow totals for Thursday, bigger storm possible this weekend

Another round of snow is on the way for much of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, on Thursday. 

How much? 

Places like Marshall, Willmar, Alexandria, St. Cloud, Brainerd, the Twin Cities, Grand Rapids and Duluth could all end up with 3-4 inches of snow. 

That's a slight boost from Tuesday's forecast which called for 1-3 or 2-3 inches in most areas.

According to the NWS-Twin Cities forecast discussion, the majority of the snow is expected to fall Thursday night, so we'll have to keep an eye on timing just in case this system causes problems for the Thursday evening commute. 

Massive storm on Saturday?

Meanwhile, a stronger system could possible hammer Minnesota this weekend. The NWS-Twin Cities is watching it closely, saying it "could be a significant snow maker for much of the area."
