O joy! Local treat makes Oprah's "O List" of best bets

Combine a cake pop with a macaroon and you get Poparoons, a treat so irresistible that even Oprah Winfrey can't say no.

The Business Journal reports that the gluten free goodie, created by Fridley-based Lily Blooms Kitchen and baked in Minnesota, landed on the the list that every retailer daydreams about: the "O List" in the August edition of The Oprah Magazine. In the past, Oprah's endorsement has created a surge of interest, demand and profits for products.

Want to see for yourself what the fuss is about? The Facebook page for Lilly Blooms Kitchen says that the treats can be purchased online or at local stores that include Lunds & Byerly's, Lakewinds Natural Foods, Fresh and Natural Shoreview, Fresh Seasons, Eastside Co-op and and the Seward Co-op.
