Oct. home foreclosures up from Sept., down from last year

October foreclosure activity in Minnesota was down 31 percent from a year earlier, however filings were up 34 percent from September, the Star Tribune reports. Minnesota has the 20th highest home foreclosure rate in the nation.

Nationally, filings were down 19.2 percent from October 2011 but up 3.3 percent from September 2012, according to a new report from foreclosure data firm RealtyTrac.
