About a half dozen female students at Eden Prairie High School were involved in a fight Wednesday morning as students were switching classes, KSTP reported.
School staff and a school police liaison officer quickly broke up the fracas, but not before the officer injured an ankle, KSTP reported.
Eden Prairie police and school district officials are investigating, Patch reports. A preliminary report indicates six to eight female students were involved, Patch says.
Earlier this month, police strengthened their presence at the school after rumors on social media suggested that tensions between students at the school had led to someone bringing a gun to school. No gun was found.
