A jet skier found a man's body face down near the edge of the Mississippi River Saturday night, and Hennepin County officials say the body had been there for "some time," reports say.

Andrew Tator of Brooklyn Park was jet skiing near the Coon Rapids Dam, near the border of Coon Rapids and Brooklyn Park south of Highway 610, when he found the body, KSTP reports.

"I got freaked out a little bit," Tator told the news station, who monitored the body until authorities got there.

After an hour of searching, the body of an adult male was pulled from the river, the Pioneer Press reports.

Authorities have not said if the death is suspicious, KARE 11 reports.

Officials are still investigating to identify the body and figure out what happened.
