Students from Oak Grove Middle School visiting a nature refuge discovered the body of a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Police recovered the gun at the scene and say the wound was likely self-inflicted.

Law enforcement officers and firefighters saluted the motorcade that brought the body of Army Sgt. Nicholas Dickhut home to Rochester. The 23-year-old was killed in a firefight with enemy forces in Afghanistan last week. His funeral is set for Tuesday.

The Hennepin County Sheriff says authorities have exhumed the body of a World War II veteran at Fort Snelling after a maintenance worker discovered a large amount of dirt disturbed in and around the grave. Investigators are looking into what caused the death of a 39-year-old Rochester man as he struggled with two police officers who were arresting him. The police department has placed the officers on administrative leave.
