The former girlfriend of O.J. Simpson has pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and drug possession after being accused of stealing drugs from an elderly couple in whose home she worked as a nurse, Forum Communications reports.
Christie Prody, 38, a Moorhead, Minn., native, pleaded guilty Monday in Clay County, Minn., to one charge of second-degree burglary and one charge of fifth-degree drug possession, both felonies, Forum reports.
Prody said she has been sober for seven months as of May, Forum reports. Her sentencing is set for June 28.
In a separate case earlier this year, Prody was sentenced to two years of supervised probation on a four-year suspended prison term in North Dakota in a purse theft, the Associated Press reported.
Prody had a 13-year relationship with the ex-NFL star that began not long after he was famously acquitted in 1995 in the killings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Prody in 2009 said she believed Simpson killed the two, based on comments he made during their relationship.
Simpson is in prison in Nevada for armed robbery and kidnapping, stemming from a 2007 incident in Las Vegas.
