Pair of Minnesota mobile eateries vying for national honor

Two Twin Cities food trucks are among 18 national finalists for the Mobile Cuisine 2012 Food Truck Rookie of the Year award, the Business Journal reports. The winner will be determined by online voting.

As of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Messy Giuseppe in St. Paul had 125 votes and Bloomy’s Roast Beef in Minneapolis had 128. Chicago's Ice-Cubed was in the lead with more than 900 votes.

Voting closes at midnight Jan. 18.
