The Philadelphia Macaroni Co. plans to expand its Grand Forks operations.
The Grand Forks Herald reports the expansion includes a new 80,000-square-foot warehouse that would be built next to its existing production plant. The newspaper said that documents were submitted to the city as part of an application for property-tax abatement. The application indicates the warehouse construction and land purchase will cost $6.1 million.
With the addition, Philadelphia Macaroni plans to boost its workforce from 135 in 2014 to 165 by 2018.
The City Council is set to consider the application Aug. 5.
