Republican Tim Pawlenty’s face is about to take its place on Minnesota’s Capitol walls.

On Tuesday, Pawlenty's portrait will officially join the 38 other former governor’s likenesses. Pawlenty is also scheduled to give his first, post-race interview in Minnesota since leaving the presidential race in August.

The photo above was taken in artist Ross R. Rossin's studio during Pawlenty's contemporary painting session. The photo below is the official gubernatorial painting that will be displayed in the Capitol.
