A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a Metro Transit bus in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon.
The Star Tribune reports the incident happened just after 4 p.m. near the intersection of South 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue South. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The newspaper notes that emergency teams removed the body and covered the rear section of the bus with blue tarp following the collision.
According to WCCO, authorities with Metro Transit are investigating the incident, and officials say there could be delays with other bus routes as a result.
No details about the pedestrian have been released at this stage.
