He had been hit by a Ford Taurus, driven by a 73-year-old man from Coon Rapids, who was uninjured in the crash.

A police officer witnesses the collision, and said the pedestrian appeared to have failed to yield to the right of way to the car.

Minnesota crosswalk law states that while drivers must stop for pedestrians at all crosswalks and intersections without crosswalks or stop lights, pedestrians must obey signs and signals at all intersections that have them.

This accident is being investigated by the Minnesota State Patrol, Blaine Police Department, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
