Petition for Super Bowl to replace Lady Gaga with Migos reaches 50,000 signatures

Americans are making their voices heard on this pressing issue surrounding the Super Bowl.

A particularly potent petition is calling for Lady Gaga to be replaced at the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show by none other than Migos.

And it has over 50,000 signatures. Raindrop, droptop indeed. As we've already said, we're calling 2017 as the year of Migos.

This Sunday's Super Bowl XLI – or 51, for those who can't read Roman – is set to have my former NYU classmate Lady Gaga take the stage between the halves. While you'd think someone as elaborate and inventive as Gaga would be a prime crowd-pleasing choice for the biggest spectacle in sports, the petition makes a very strong opening argument:

Very Simple, the Atlanta Falcons are in the Super Bowl and it's gonna be in Houston. Two of the TRILLEST hip hop communities under ONE ROOF. Your entertainment choices have to change RIGHT NOW.

Petition creator, Justin G of San Francisco, has the whole event mapped out: a Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane, Goodie Mob, Ludacris and Young Jeezy pre-show, Andre 3000 and Erykah Badu singing a new 64-bar national anthem, Young Thug performing "Guwop Home" ("the official anthem of Atlanta") and the official halftime show consisting predominantly of Migos with assists from Future, OutKast, Bun-B and Jay Z.

Stranger things have happened, America. Make your voices heard.
