Pillsbury cinnamon rolls recalled due to concerns of plastic fragments


Golden Valley-based General Mills is recalling Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing because the dough may contain pieces of plastic.

The company says a broken piece of plastic on the production line prompted the voluntary nationwide recall.

No other Pillsbury dough products are affected.

Consumers who have purchased 8-count single and double packages of the cinnamon rolls with one of the following "better if used by" dates should throw them away:

-31OCT2013 (single 8-count pack)

-18OCT2013 (2-pack)

- 26OCT2013 (2-pack)

-31OCT2013 (2-pack)

Consumers who have products covered by the recall are urged to contact General Mills at 1-800-775-4777 for a replacement.

Last week, Chobani pulled 35 varieties of its greek yogurt from grocery store shelves after concerns of mold. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said Monday that at least 89 people have experienced nausea or cramps after eating the yogurt.
