Pleased to meat you: Andrew Zimmern launches 'World's Best Meats' delivery

Andrew Zimmern has probably made you hungry – really hungry – with at least one of his TV shows, the most famous of which is "Bizarre Foods."

Perhaps as a long-in-coming reward, the Twin Cities-based television host and celebrity chef will soon be bringing some of the exotic foods he finds around the globe right to your doorstep.

Specifically, it'll be choice cuts of meat – the culinary guru will launch "Zimmern: World's Best Meats" on EVINE Live, a home shopping television network, next month, according to a news release.

The network says Zimmern is teaming with Pat LaFrieda, "one of the world's finest meat purveyors," to deliver an exclusive line of "fresh, never frozen meats and sausages" to customer's homes.

These include sweet Italian sausage, "Pork Tomahawk Chops," lamb ribs and Merguez sausage.

The Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal points out that such exotic selections are hard to find in your typical grocery store, while EVINE says they can't even be found at butcher shops.

These cuts, which "Andrew has curated... from trusted family-owned farms," will be debuted on EVINE Live on Sept. 8 at 11am and 4pm ET and online, the release says.

"Being able to share cuts of meat unavailable at retail's butcher counters is real story telling through food, and it affords everyone the same opportunities that the best chefs in the world have," Zimmern is quoted as saying. "From Korean boneless short our signature sausages, everyone can share in what I've experienced abroad at their own table."

Zimmern's EVINE site, which is where the offerings will be available next month, can be found here.
