A teenager from Plymouth, Minnesota, died after a rollover crash near Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Friday evening, and two others in the car were injured.

The deceased was identified Saturday afternoon as Kevin William Messer, 16, the Star Tribune reports. Leo John Schreiner, 15, also of Plymouth, and Hanna Fatima Sedqi, 16, of Robbinsdale, were injured.

According to FOX 9, the three were in a Chevy Cobalt on eastbound Interstate 94 when the car veered onto the shoulder. Sedqui, the driver, overcorrected when trying to regain control and rolled the car into the median.

She and Schreiner suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Star Tribune reports that Messer was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other two were taken to a nearby hospital. All three were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, and no alcohol was involved, according to FOX 9.
