Polaris Industries announced Tuesday its all-new 2014 Indian Chief will make its debut at the 73rd annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota this summer, the Pioneer Press reports.

The Medina-based ATV maker also said the newly designed model will have a suggested retail value of $18,999 -- which is 25 to 50 percent less than earlier versions of the motorcycle.

“We are honored to make today’s important announcements at this time, as it was roughly 112 years ago that the very first Indian Motorcycle prototype was demonstrated to the press on the streets in Springfield, Massachusetts,” Vice President of Polaris Motorcycles Steve Menneto said in a news release. “We’re especially proud to reveal that our inaugural model will be the iconic Indian Chief. Riders around the world will be thrilled to know their choice in American motorcycles will now come in the form of a brand new Indian Chief.”

In March, Polaris revealed its redesigned Indian motorcycles will pack an air-cooled 111 cubic inch V-twin engine.

Polaris bought the 112-year-old iconic American brand in 2011.
