Police: 4-month-old dies after assault, man arrested

Minneapolis police say a 4-month-old is dead following an assault.

Officers responded to a call around 5 p.m. Saturday at 1907 Franklin Avenue Southeast, according to a news release.

Police say they found the Hennepin County Paramedics treating a child who'd been assaulted.

The young victim was then taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

A man – believed to be the child's father – has been arrested. And police say they are not looking for any other suspects.
