The Minneapolis Police Department says one of the victims of the stabbing – which occurred around 2:30 a.m. by Choice Gentlemen's Club – had a neck wound, and was taken unresponsive to Hennepin County Medical Center for emergency surgery.
The other had been stabbed six times – three wounds to the head, and one each to the face, upper arm, and lower left side, police say.
What happened, according to police:
Officers reported to an assault call at the club, involving five parties who fled in a car. A passenger seeing throwing a bloody switchblade out of the window and on to the ground as the car was leaving.
Officers on the way were flagged down by one of the stabbing victims at First Ave. and Third Street N. – about a block away from the scene. The victim had been stabbed six times – none were life-threatening – and was taken to HCMC.
Other squads headed to Choice, where they found a second stabbing victim lying on the sidewalk across from the club. The victim was unresponsive with a stab wound to the neck, and was taken to HCMC for emergency surgery. Their condition isn't known.
Shortly after, a vehicle dropped two parties off at HCMC's emergency entrance. The car left and was stopped by police officers, who later identified all four occupants as being involved in the assault.
Two suspects were located inside HCMC – one had a stab wound to the hand, and will be arrested and booked once done being treated. The other was escorted out of the hospital and identified as a suspect in the assault.
