The Minneapolis Police Department has arrested and booked a second suspect, a 21-year-old man, in connection with a fatal shooting in south Minneapolis Wednesday.

Police arrested the first suspect, a 19-year-old, on Friday. Both men are in custody, and have not yet been charged.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified 19-year-old Jordan Carson Adams as the victim in the shooting on the 2100 block of 3rd Avenue South. The cause of death is a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and the manner of death has been determined a homicide, a news release notes.

Anyone with information about the incident should text 847 411, entering MPD and the tip, or call the tipline at 612-692-8477

MPD is bulking up its police presence of the south side of town after a slew of shootings last month, noting an increase of gun violence as the weather warms up.
