Police: Cab driver injured after being shot in 'road rage' incident

Minneapolis Police are looking for a suspect who opened fire on a taxi – and wounded its driver – in what is being called a road rage incident.

The assailant was driving a car early Friday morning and shot at the cab while crossing the Hennepin Avenue Bridge, forcing the taxi driver to pull over near Nye's Polonaise Room in northeast Minneapolis, KSTP reports.

The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover, the station says.

The suspect sped away, according to WCCO.

The station adds that the cab driver was not carrying any passengers at the time.

There are currently no details on the make and model of the suspect's car.
