Police chase in Minneapolis ends after stolen SUV hits other vehicles, house
A police chase early Tuesday morning ended when the suspect crashed a stolen vehicle into a car, bus and then hit a tree and house.
The incident began around 2:45 a.m. near Hiawatha Avenue and Lake Street in Minneapolis, where officers spotted a stolen vehicle that failed to stop, Sgt. Catherine Michal of the Minneapolis Police Department told GoMN.
The officers pursued the vehicle, which crashed less than 3 miles away at 35th Street East and Nicollet Avenue South. Michal said the stolen vehicle collided with a sedan and a Metro Transit bus near the intersection, before hitting a tree and the front porch of a home.
No one inside the home was injured, while the driver of the sedan and bus were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. There were no passengers on the bus.
After the crash, the three suspects inside the vehicle fled on foot. A woman was taken into custody, but the two men haven't been located.
Michal says not long after, a vehicle was stolen from the 3300 block ofNicollet Avenue South, and it could be related.
