Driver with sex toy booked after slowing traffic, police say
A driver in St. Paul was booked into the Ramsey County jail after a dispatcher told officers to be on the lookout for a man in a pickup truck performing oral sex on a sex toy, who had slowed traffic, the Pioneer Press reports. Police stopped the man and he informed them that he had a sex toy inside his person. "That one's kind of unique. They'll be talking about this one for a while," a police watch commander said.

Man who threatened to jump from I-35E bridge is sex offender
The 37-year-old St. Paul man who locked up traffic for six hours Tuesday on the Interstate 35E bridge over the Mississippi River was a level-one sex offender who had just reported suicidal thoughts to his parole officer, the Pioneer Press reports. He fled Eagan police when they came to check on him and ultimately had a standoff on the bridge with police that ended with officers taking him into custody.
Minnesota hires new chief of sex offender treatment program
Nancy Johnston has officially been named the new executive director for Minnesota’s Sex Offender program. The Mankato Free Press reports she will permanently oversee the treatment facilities in St. Peter and Moose Lake. Johnston took over as interim director when Dennis Benson retired in June.
