Police ID 2 Minneapolis shooting victims, say attack was not random

The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office has identified two people who were found shot to death Friday night in south Minneapolis.

Dahir Ahmed Abdirahman, 29, of Minneapolis and Tahany Abdi Omar Erbob, 24, of Columbia Heights, were found in a car parked in the lot of an apartment building near Lake Street and 29th Avenue S., WCCO reports.

The shooting was not random and there have been no arrests, police spokesman John Elder said Saturday, according to the Star Tribune.

Abdirahman was recently released from prison for a 2008 conviction for felony robbery, simple robbery and terroristic threats, according to the newspaper.
