Victim identified in St. Paul fatal hit-and-run

The StarTribune reports that St. Paul police have identified the dead woman as Therese Klotz, 53, of St. Paul.

They continue looking for the hit-and-run driver who struck her in the West End neighborhood Friday night.

The Pioneer Press reports Klotz was struck and killed while dropping off a friend on the 700 block of Randolph Avenue a little before 7 p.m.

KSTP says she was hit just outside the driver's door by an eastbound vehicle. She died on the way to the hospital.

KARE 11 reports part of the driver's mirror remained at the scene. "We do believe it was an SUV style vehicle, smaller in size, silver in color,” Sgt. Paul Paulos said.

Anyone with information is asked to call St. Paul police at 651-266-5582.
