A "lone male" entered the city's Wal-Mart around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and approached the American Bank branch office, according to a police news release. He demanded money from the teller, got an undisclosed amount, then fled, the release says.

That led police to issue an alert Thursday morning, asking the public to help identify who the suspect is and where he may be.

Later that day, police released an update saying a 33-year-old Hibbing man was identified and arrested.

The release says he was also taken into custody on unrelated warrants. He's expected to be charged with aggravated robbery.

Police have said they believe the suspect acted alone. No weapon was seen during the incident.
