Police: NE Minn. man pulls gun in dispute over fireworks


St. Louis County Sheriff's officials arrested a 61-year-old northeast Minnesota man suspected of pulling a gun and threatening to kill another man in a dispute over fireworks Thursday night, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

Details about the nature of the argument were not disclosed. The dispute happened in Great Scott Township, roughly 75 miles northwest of Duluth, the newspaper reported.

The Britt, Minn., man was taken into custody without incident and held on tentative charges of second degree assault, terroristic threats and damage to property. Officers found several handguns at his residence. An investigation continues.
