Police: Suspect arrested in fatal shooting at Twin Cities Park and Ride

Minnetonka police say they've arrested a suspect following a fatal shooting late Friday night.

According to the news release, police responded to a report of a shooting around 11:15 p.m. When they arrived at the Park and Ride ramp on Wayzata Boulevard, authorities say they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told officials the suspect ran away, so police conducted a search.

Around 2 a.m., authorities located the suspect in the woods near Crane Lake. The suspect was arrested and is awaiting charges.

Police say they are not looking for any other suspects at this time.

The identities have not been released yet. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the victim's name once family is notified.

The investigation is ongoing.
