A suspect in last weekend's fatal shooting in Columbia Heights has been charged with murder but his whereabouts are unknown.

Police are asking for the public's help finding Evan Ramon Denny, 18.

A second-degree murder charge was filed against Denny Wednesday over the shooting during a gathering at a Columbia Heights home late Saturday.

Police say they have information that Denny is avoiding officers' efforts to find and arrest him.

He's described as a Native American male who is 5'8' tall and weighs 216 pounds. Denny has brown hair and eyes, wears glasses, has braces, and his last name is tattooed on his right forearm.

Police say anyone who sees Denny should not approach him but should call 911 or the Anoka County Sheriff's office at 763-427-1212.
