Police: Woman asks boyfriend, 'Do you love me?' Then she slits his throat

Dawn Renee Peel, 50, is accused of waking her boyfriend to tell him, "This is the last time you're going to see my eyes" before she attacked him early Monday with a knife in a St. Paul apartment, the Pioneer Press reports. Police suspect she had been drinking, and the 39-year-old man told police he had told her earlier that she needed to check herself into a hospital. According to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday, Peel initially tried to blame the stabbing on someone else and suggested that he had beaten her, although police found no evidence of that. Investigators did find a bloody knife.

The victim told police that Peel kissed his forehead and then, "BOOM! The knife," Fox 9 reported.

The man had a 5.5-inch cut across his neck that took 23 staples to close, WCCO reports:

The Bemidji Police Deparment is asking for the public's help in finding 16-year-old Jessica Jolie Thompson, who was abducted Wednesday afternoon. A news release claims Thompson was taken by her boyfriend, 15-year-old Jarvis Lussier, after she told friends she didn't want to leave with him.

Fox 9 reports that family members of a woman found dead Sunday in a vehicle in a St. Paul alley say she was being threatened after someone on Facebook said she witnessed a murder. She moved to Atlanta three months ago and returned for a visit last week, Fox 9 says.
