Several warnings, watches and advisories are already issued for most of North Dakota and parts of far northwestern Minnesota through Saturday night.
Later Friday, the North Dakota Department of Transportation extended its "No Travel Advisory" in the state, WDAY-TV reported.
KARE 11 reports the Twin Cities metro will stay on the mild side of the winter storm, but could see some flurries on Sunday.
