Prep Bowl: Elk River, Rochester Lourdes and Minneapolis North claim championships
Day two of the Prep Bowl Championships concluded on Saturday at U.S. Bank Stadium with three teams – Elk River, Rochester Lourdes and Minneapolis North – claiming state championships.

For Minneapolis North, the 30-14 win over Rushford-Peterson is the school's first championship. They also became the third Minneapolis City Conference team to win a football state title since 1977.
Rochester Lourdes pulled off a miraculous play with under a minute to go, securing their 42-35 win. On 3rd and 22, the team pulled off two laterals that eventually set up the game-winning touchdown.
Elk River put a bow on their undefeated season (13-0) with a 42-14 win. It's the Elk's first state title in their 125 years of high school football.
