Burnsville-Eagan-Savage school district considers shorter week

Board members are looking into a Tuesday through Friday school week to help save $5 million. The cost cutting plan would eliminate 17 school days from next year's calendar, but classroom hours wouldn't change. If approved, WCCO reports Burnsville-Eagan-Savage would be the first district in the Twin Cities metro to have a four-day week.
