Public works employee killed as lawn tractor is hit by train in Wisconsin
A man who was driving a lawn tractor in western Wisconsin has died after he was hit by a train.
WEAU reports that 29-year-old Dustin Keith of Altoona was killed in Fall Creek, near Eau Claire, at 7.45 a.m. Friday.
The station reports that he was a public works employee for the Village of Fall Creek and was operating a snow-clearing lawn tractor along a bike and footpath when he was hit by a Union Pacific train traveling east.
Initial investigations suggest that the tractor crossed into the path of the train.
