Target’s gift to holiday shoppers: Free shipping starts now

In the annual retail holiday battle, Target comes out swinging early. The Minneapolis based retailer is offering free shipping for all online orders – starting today, and lasting through Dec. 20. The free shipping deal is a few weeks earlier than it’s usually implemented. Target is attempting to rebound after news of a massive data breach last year appeared to chill shoppers’ warmth for the store.

No chemicals needed: Nation’s first natural pool to open in Minneapolis

A public swimming pool without chemicals – That’s the plan at one Minneapolis park, which is set to open the continent’s first all-natural filtration public pool next summer. Instead of chlorine, the water is filtered outside of the pool and through a collection of natural plants that soak up all the undesirable elements. It’ll feature a large wading area, five lap lanes and a diving board – and of course, in the winter it will become an ice rink.
