Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean tours converge at Target Field this summer

One of Minnesota’s favorites is coming back to perform in a big show at Target Field next summer. The Minnesota Twins announced today that Kenny Chesney will return for a July concert, backed by country music sensation Jason Aldean. Tickets aren’t on sale just yet, but Twins season ticket holders get access to presales tickets before the general public.

Crookston man fleeing police dies in fiery crash; other weekend police chases reported

A Crookston man fleeing police died in a fiery crash Sunday night in northwestern Minnesota. Police were called to check on a 27-year old man and when they arrived he got into his truck, rammed a police car and sped away. Reports say he later lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a concrete bridge pillar. There were other police pursuits that resulted in accidents over the weekend, among them: A Wisconsin man speeding from police crashed and was killed and two suspects in a stolen van crashed into a White Bear Lake home.

Weather week: Enjoy autumn before it leaves

One more day of splendid autumn weather. Jerrid Sebesta’s forecast calls for mild temperatures, in the 60s, as the work week begins. Chillier temps and some rain likely across the state Tuesday. Temperatures will settle into the 50s for the rest of the week, until Friday, when it may be in the 40s for Halloween. But no rain is expected for the trick-or-treaters.
