Closing arguments underway in Ventura defamation suit

Closing arguments began this morning in former Gov. Jesse Ventura’s defamation lawsuit against the estate of “American Sniper” author and former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. The jury will get the case today, and for Ventura to prevail, it must find that Kyle was not truthful, and that he acted with malice. Jury deliberation is expected to begin early this afternoon.

Pawn shop employee shot during armed robbery in Roseville

Roseville police are looking for two men who they say shot a Roseville Pawn America employee during an armed robbery Monday evening. Police say immediately after walking into the store, one of the suspects began shooting, hitting a 27-year-old employee in the leg. The suspects also made off with jewelry and watches.

‘Fargo’ TV series renewed for 2nd season; will be partially set in Luverne

The television crime drama based on Joel and Ethan Coen’s Oscar-winning crime caper “Fargo” is coming back for another season on cable’s FX Network. This season of the show will be based on the 1979 Sioux Falls incident referenced as “A Fox, a Rabbit, and a Cabbage." It will likely premiere in the fall of 2015.
