Wave of storms to bring heavy rains for evening commute

An umbrella will come in handy today. Most of the state will see an additional inch or more of rain Monday as slow-moving storms make their way through the state. Sunday’s downpour brought 4 to more than 7 inches of rain to western Minnesota. The wet weather comes after more than eight days without a drop falling in much of the state.

Target to keep many stores open later for night owl shoppers

Night owls, take note. If you run out of toothpaste, light bulbs or greeting cards late at night, you can still make your Target run. The Wall Street Journal reports that the Minneapolis-based retailer will be open at least an hour later at about half of its stores.

Food truck pastor feeds the hungry with new mobile ministry

The latest social entrepreneur to plunge into the food truck fray is a 33-year-old St. Paul Lutheran pastor, who serves up free hot calzones on St. Paul's East Side. Along with the calzone, people who are in need get a bottle of water and a healthy serving of prayer if they're interested.
